Been coming to this L&M for years with my parents and the staff has always been so accommodating. Today a gentleman named Robbie (?) helped me with my own first huge purchase of a tenor sax and a bass for my dad—SO helpful and friendly! Someone get this dude a raise! Have loved this store since living in TO, so nice to know all the staff are nice no matter the city.

Eyleen has been teaching my 6 year old piano for over 6 months. This is the first extracurricular we’ve been able to get him to commit to. She’s taught him patience and confidence and keeps things light to keep him engaged. We love Eyleen and how she is with our boy 10/10 recommend

I love this shop. The staff are first rate. Good knowledgable people selling quality musical instruments. I took some lessons from Manny and would highly recommend him to anyone who already knows their way around an electric guitar.This gentleman will help you improve dramatically.

Happy with the guitar and other items I purchased but not impressed with the level of customer service. I had to ask 3 different staff members for assistance before someone helped me find an item. A few walked past me as I asked if they could help me locate something. On top of that, the employee that finally helped me was rude and was rushing me out the store. I am a novice and wanted to make sure the items I purchased would be compatible with my guitar, but they did not help at all. I will just buy online and go somewhere else for any in-person assistance.

This store is my safe haven. I genuinely love the staff and they’ve always been so accommodating and helpful when it comes to everything from basic knowledge to more intricate things I don’t quite understand yet. They’re helping me build my home studio and it’s been a breeze so far. Thanks guys and girls at this location. You all are very passionate about your jobs. 🙏

Went to this store looking for an electric guitar, amp and some accessories. The experience was less than pleasant. Had a difficult time to get anyone’s attention for help to choose items or ask questions. One salesman finally helped a bit. He showed me a couple of used guitars and no new ones. I had two PRS guitars in mind. He quickly left me and never returned. I left the store disappointed, but decided to try the store in Orleans. Complete turnaround in this store. I was greeted promptly and had three staff members get me the guitars I wanted to view and happily answered questions I had. Now that was good service. I now have a beautiful PRS guitar and fender amp. Hunt club store in Ottawa could learn from this as you lost a great sale and returning customer. I will return to the Orleans store.

I usually have zero issues with customer service at the Orleans location, but at the hunt club location good grief, I had 600$ to burn today for an multi effects pedal, I was in there for 20 min waved ppl down made it pretty obvious I needed help and I was blatantly ignored and I eventually just walked out while the guy at the cash was on his phone after I asked if I could get some questions answered. Clearly you don't want my money. I'll simply get something online or just anywhere that's not this location. Edit: The manager Chris got in contact with me and listened and heard my concerns. He went above and beyond from what I've ever seen compared to other managers in the retail biz let alone other music stores in Ottawa. He addressed everything and made assurances that these issues will be resolved. He absolutely got a perfect resolution done with me , I won't go into to many specifics but let's just say he absolutely did right by me, it's this kind of leadership I wish I had when I was working other places, he is cool calm collected empathetic and very professional. His staff should absolutely follow by his example I really hope they understand that he had to fix their error when this should have never happened. I hope he gets a shout out or commendation by long and mcquades corporate cause that guy is that location.

Awesome teachers, super helpful staff, beautiful and extensively-stocked store. What more do you want? Only thing I would note is that they don't sell pianos aside from some keyboards, so I'd skip L+M if you're looking for a Yamaha, Steinway, etc.
